Chosen among over 800 global submissions, this recognition marks an outstanding milestone for Kilo and a proud moment for Indonesia’s design and culinary scene.
Representing a Modern Living through Senses and Flow
Nestled on the Ground Floor of ASHTA, Kilo Jakarta redefines the idea of communal dining where food, architecture, and artistry converge. The space, designed in collaboration with RAD+ar (Research Artistic Design + Architecture), presents a bold interpretation of modern tropical living through organic textures, thoughtful flow, and a deep sense of place.
Within its 700 sqm expanse, Kilo’s interior tells a story of contrasts: exposed concrete and terrazzo floors balanced by soft rattan details, natural light filtering through bamboo sculptures suspended above the dining room, an artful centerpiece handcrafted in collaboration with local artisans. Despite structural constraints, the design transforms limitations into experience, guiding guests through an unfolding sequence that feels both cinematic and intimate.
A Custom-Designed Bar
By day, Kilo evokes ease and warmth. A place for slow brunches and open conversations. By night, it transitions into a lively, atmospheric setting, where a custom-designed bar and layered lighting rhythmically shift the mood.
