The Beauty of Cycles through Siklus 3.0: OE x Wilsen Willim at ASHTA

The Beauty of Cycles through Siklus 3.0: OE x Wilsen Willim at ASHTA

Like life itself, batik moves in cycles. It never stands still; it evolves, breathes, and finds meaning with each passing moment. Through this rhythm, batik becomes more than heritage. It becomes a companion in everyday life, woven into what we wear, how we move, and who we are becoming.

Continuing this timeless journey, ASHTA District 8 emerges as the location of Oemah Etnik (OE), which reunites with Wilsen Willim to present Siklus 3.0, the third installment in a series that has gracefully carried Indonesian tradition from red carpets to global runways. From Siklus 1.0 to 2.0, the collaboration has honored the evolution of culture and craft. Now, Siklus 3.0 arrives for those who are just beginning to discover the art of batik.

Following its launch, Siklus 3.0 was unveiled at The Langham Fashion Soirée on 22 October 2025, which will be held at the Grand Ballroom of The Langham Jakarta. The presentation will reveal thirty looks that speak of rhythm, renewal, and the beauty of transformation, where tradition meets the present with quiet grace. Each piece is the work of local artisans from Pekalongan, whose craftsmanship continues the living heritage of batik.

Through this collaboration, Oemah Etnik and Wilsen Willim open a space for these artisans to reimagine their artistry, to create something extraordinary that transcends its origins. From the heart of the region to the rhythm of the city, Siklus 3.0 becomes a dialogue between hands that craft and lives that wear, a reminder that tradition can move forward without losing its soul.

Each piece of shirts, jackets, kebayas, skirts, corsets, and ties flows with understated elegance. Designed to move with the wearer, Siklus 3.0 blends fluid silhouettes with the subtle energy of color. The palette, which is black, white, red, and blue, meets clean color blocks, making it approachable for those taking their first step into batik.

At ASHTA, where culture meets contemporary life, collaborations like Siklus 3.0 remind us that tradition does not belong to the past; it lives within us. Every motif, every fold, every thread tells a story of movement, connection, and rediscovery.
