In every corner of Jakarta, stories of resilience unfold quietly. Among them are the voices of women facing one of the most challenging battles of their lives, breast cancer. According to WHO, it is the most common cancer in the country, yet too often, it is only detected at a late stage. Early detection can save lives, and with greater awareness, open conversations, and strong support systems, there lies a gateway to unwavering hope.
This September, ASHTA District 8 joins hands with Lovepink Indonesia to bring those voices into the light through Brushstrokes of Hope, an art exhibition that is less about what hangs on the walls, and more about the stories that live within them.
Since 2012, Lovepink Indonesia has championed early breast cancer detection, supporting over 17,500 survivors and building a community of strength and solidarity. With a vision to reduce late-stage cases by 2030, this collaboration with ASHTA District 8 transforms art into a powerful medium of awareness, healing, and hope.
A Celebration of Strength Through Art
Opening on 22 September 2025, the exhibition gathers works from an inspiring collective of women artists, emerging talents, and survivors. Paintings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces will speak of vulnerability and fear, but also of rediscovered strength and the beauty of perseverance.
Each brushstroke becomes an expression to healing, to resilience, to hope. Featuring 12 remarkable women artists including Anindya Anugrah, Bethania Brigitta, Fiametta Gabriela, Lala Bohang, Michelle Tan, Naela Ali, Prajna Dewantara, Ruth Marbun, Samantha Barbara, Septhy Hera, Tusita Mangalani, Wina Li, and Yessiow. This exhibition is a celebration of voices that are often left unheard but deserve to be amplified.
“At ASHTA District 8, we believe our space is more than a retail destination, it is a canvas where stories and meaningful encounters come alive. Brushstrokes of Hope reflects that belief. Art, in this context, is not just to be seen. It is to be felt, to open hearts, and to remind us of our shared humanity,” says Leonardo, Center Experience Manager of ASHTA District 8.
Beyond the Gallery
The spirit of Brushstrokes of Hope extends into a series of community-driven experiences designed to spark conversations and healing:
- Canvas of Courage: A collective healing wall where visitors can leave words of love, encouragement, and solidarity for survivors and families.
- Voices of Strength: Saturday afternoon talks with experts and survivors, covering topics from breast cancer myths to nutrition for recovery, closing with the heartfelt panel, My Healing Journey.
- Pink Screening: In partnership with Lovepink, a signature mobile screening program returns every Sunday morning with its iconic pink van. Offering free breast screenings to underprivileged women, tenant staff, and ASHTA’s own community, it stands as a tangible step toward early detection.

Shop With Purpose
In line with ASHTA’s philosophy of blending lifestyle with meaning, Brushstrokes of Hope also invites visitors to contribute through conscious shopping. A portion of proceeds from limited-edition menus and merchandise will be directed to programs that support awareness, treatment access, and survivor care.
Guests who shop at ASHTA during this period can also enjoy rewards: spend IDR 750,000 and receive an IDR 100,000 ASRI Living voucher, or enjoy a complimentary pink drink with a minimum purchase of IDR 300,000.
A Shared Journey
Brushstrokes of Hope is an invitation to walk together. To replace silence with dialogue, fear with courage, and isolation with solidarity. This collaboration reminds us that every gesture, no matter how small, holds the power to change a story.
