In a city that never slows down, art has a quiet way of asking us to pause. To look a little longer. To feel a little deeper. This September, ASHTA District 8 opens its doors to something truly special: SBY Art Community Exhibition: Art for Peace and a Better Future.
Founded by Indonesia’s 6th President, Prof. Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the SBY Art Community carries a simple yet powerful belief: art is more than what meets the eye. It can unite, heal, and inspire hope for tomorrow.

31 Works of Art from Artist and Local Institutions
At SPAC8, ASHTA Level 1, visitors will find themselves surrounded by 31 works of art. From former President Yudhoyono’s own paintings to pieces by celebrated names like Akbar Linggaprana, Mas Dibyo, Mas Ibenk, and Naufal Abshar. Together, they weave themes of peace, sustainability, and the passing of hope across generations. Adding to this dialogue are contributions from four of Indonesia’s most respected art schools such as Institut Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ), Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain ITB, ISI Yogyakarta, and ISI Solo. Each canvas is more than paint, it’s a voice, a memory, a vision.
But this exhibition isn’t one to be seen from a distance. Through Artist Talks, visitors can immerse themselves on conversations that bring creators and audiences face to face. With the Interactive Canvas, anyone can pick up a brush and leave a mark of their own. And in curated Exhibition Tours, communities, collectors, and even international guests come together over art, story, and connection.

Supported by ministries spanning culture, tourism, defense, and the environment, the exhibition underscores how art can bridge worlds, between disciplines, between people, between the present and the future.
“At ASHTA, we believe public spaces should be where bold ideas and creative works live alongside everyday life. This exhibition isn’t just about admiring art, it’s about finding meaning, reflection, and hope within it,” stated Zico Rossano Hansakarya, General Manager Marketing Communication ASRI.
Open to the public from 6 September to 5 October 2025, SBY Art Community: Art for Peace and a Better Future invites everyone to slow down for a moment in the heart of SCBD. Walk through the gallery, take it in, and let the colors and forms remind you: art speaks most honestly when it speaks to the heart.
