Give Your Clothes a Second Life: Join the Movement at ASHTA District 8 SCBD!

At ASHTA District 8, we don’t just believe in living for today yet we’re all about shaping a better tomorrow. As part of ASRI, a subsidiary of the Agung Sedayu Group, we’re committed to making a positive impact, and that’s why we’re thrilled to collaborate with Setali and Canvas Confluence Collective to bring you LIMITLESS. It’s an initiative that lets you declutter your closet and support a more sustainable future. Ready to clean out your wardrobe for a cause? Let’s do this!

Introducing the Dropbox: Your Clothes, Their New Life

We’ve all got those clothes that no longer spark joy. Instead of letting them collect dust or, worse, end up in a landfill, give them a second life at our custom-designed Dropbox. Located at Melting Pot until 16 February 2024, this is your chance to make sure your unused clothes don’t just disappear into the void. They’ll be upcycled into fashion products, art installations, and much more, transforming fashion waste into something truly magical.

Think of the Dropbox as a gateway to transformation: a place where your old clothes can live their best life in new forms, from chic accessories to artistic masterpieces. Upcycling isn’t just about recycling, it’s about reimagining what our clothes can become. And when you donate, you’re not just clearing space in your closet; you’re actively contributing to a sustainable future.

Plus, your donation helps local artists by providing them with vital training and upskilling opportunities, so your contribution goes even further, making a meaningful difference in their lives. From 17 February 2024 onwards, Dropbox will be shifted to Marketplace, L1.

About Setali: The Heart of Sustainability

Setali is on a mission to reduce fashion waste and extend the life of clothes. They take your old, rejected, or unsold garments and transform them into high-quality creations, whether that’s a cool new fashion item or an art installation. By doing this, Setali supports local artists through training and upskilling, so it’s not just about the environment; it’s about uplifting communities, too.

Why Upcycling Matters

  • Upcycling takes what was once discarded and turns it into something of higher value, like turning a forgotten jacket into a beautiful, wearable art piece.
  • Downcycling breaks things down into their basic components to be reused, but upcycling is where the magic happens, giving waste a new, meaningful life.

With every donation, you’re fighting fashion waste, supporting local communities, and helping create a circular economy that keeps materials in use for as long as possible. Every garment you donate means less waste and more opportunity.

Get Involved: Join the Movement

So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to clean out your closet and contribute to something bigger. By donating your clothes to Dropbox, you’re becoming part of a sustainable revolution where waste doesn’t end up in the landfill but instead in a new form that’s just as stylish, functional, and meaningful as ever.

Let’s give fashion a second life. The planet deserves it, your clothes deserve it, and you deserve to be part of this positive change. See you at the Dropbox!
