Bosch Home Indonesia, in collaboration with the Yayasan Kanker Anak Indonesia (YKAI), invites you to experience an extraordinary fusion of art, creativity, and compassion. The Art for Impact event is a unique auction featuring fridges, not as ordinary appliances, but as canvas masterpieces created by some of Indonesia’s most renowned artists. These stunning works of art will be auctioned, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting children undergoing cancer treatment, offering them not just financial support, but a much-needed dose of hope and love.
This collaboration is a symbol of unity, resilience, and the incredible power of art to heal. Each fridge, carefully painted by a talented artist, tells its own story, a story that resonates with the courage and spirit of young cancer patients who are fighting their battles every day. Through their art, the artists bring to life themes of hope, strength, and community, creating pieces that embody the unwavering spirit of those facing adversity.
Meaningful Art Pieces by Impactful Artists
When Life Gives You Lemons by Ratu Iqlima, Imelda Wahjunisari, M. Athalla Putra Sutanto, Caecilia Diah Sekar Ayu, and Aleena Nuzula Purnomo. This piece, inspired by the sour yet refreshing lemon, serves as a reminder that even in the most challenging times, we can find lessons that shape us into stronger individuals. The bright yellow hue symbolizes optimism, teaching us to find the sweet amidst the bitter. On the other hand, As Sweet as a Cherry, as their other masterpiece, uses the cherry as a symbol of life’s sweetness, representing the brave children who face their battles with love, laughter, and an unshakable spirit. It’s these simple, beautiful moments of togetherness that remind us of the power of love and resilience.
Then there’s Pattern of Love by Mbetand. This artwork celebrates Indonesia’s vibrant culture, intertwining batik patterns with the nation’s beloved culinary heritage. Through this intricate design, Mbetand tells a story of connection, love, and the simple joy of sharing a meal with loved ones—something many cancer patients hold dear during their difficult journey.
The Memorable Feast by Erika captures a garden party of cancer fighters. The image of doves flying amidst fresh food and laughter embodies the idea that despite illness, moments of joy and togetherness are still possible. It’s a reminder that life, even in its most challenging forms, is still worth celebrating.
Fulfillment by Winola is an artwork divided into three sections, each symbolizing a different phase in the journey of childhood cancer. From the freedom and hope represented by children playing with fruit-shaped kites, to the nourishing themes of health and longevity in the main course, to the healing power of healthy food in the dessert, this piece is a visual celebration of both the struggle and strength it takes to move forward.
Muklay’s playful creations in Healthy Day and Always Fresh bring a smile to anyone who sees them. His vibrant, lively illustrations of fruits and vegetables are filled with personality and joy, turning the everyday appliance into a beacon of positivity and warmth.
Reconstruction Memories by Bunga Yuridepista takes us back to childhood, using the image of a school to symbolize the journey of children battling cancer. Though filled with challenges, this journey also teaches valuable lessons of growth, strength, and unconditional love. Meanwhile, Playful Memories by Bunga Yuridepista transforms the fridge into a colorful celebration of childhood’s simple joys—a collage of stickers and vibrant hues that evoke the warmth and joy of family and togetherness.
Finally, Spirit to Keep Moving Forward by Tutu encapsulates the essence of resilience. Through dynamic abstract forms and a rich palette of colors, this piece is a deeply personal reflection of Tutu’s own experiences with illness, showing how the support of loved ones can help us find the strength to move forward.
